Here's a clip of a man testing a jet pack over rugged terrain. The clip is undated, but appears to be from the late '60s, early '70s.
The jet pack has a rather odd look. It sort of looks like a scooter without wheels and with handles that seem to wrap over the rider's arms.
In the clip, the rider is wearing a white helmet and dark shades. He's also wearing white slacks and a bright red long-sleeve shirt.
The clip begins with the man flying over a lake in the evening.
He then flies over sand dunes and lands in a field of tall grass, blowing up dirt and dust in the process of landing.
After taking off from the grassy field, we then see the man flying along the side of a small, rocky-looking mountain. A river is at the base of the mountain.
Soon, the man has left the mountain area and is flying toward a tree-filled location, a kind of forest. He circles the location several times before coming in for a landing on a landing pad. Another man is already standing next to the pad to greet the jet pack rider, or the pilot.
