Here's a Hi8 home movie of friends traveling through Los Angeles in the early 1990s. Their trip is for fun, but also for work -- which becomes clear in clip 2. This clip is the first of two.

Clip begins with a quick exterior shot of a loft in San Francisco. The sign of Sutter Furniture is shown. Birds are heard tweeting.

The clip then shows the friends driving somewhere in LA, likely in the Hollywood area. Palm trees line the street they are traveling down. One of the trip's passengers talks about his failed attempts to contact the man who helped make the films of Jacques Cousteau, the famous French filmmaker and oceanographer. The conversation switches to lifting weights and proper technique.

The group eventually arrives at the parking lot of Griffith Observatory. They wait for a car to leave before parking.

Two of the guys are shown in a restroom, probably the one at Griffith Observatory. One guy stands at a urinal, the other sits on toilet, making a peace sign to the camera.

The clip ends with a long shot of the Hollywood sign and a long shot of downtown Los Angeles. The sun shines in a partly cloudy sky.
