A new powder called Riotrol, or "instant banana peel," is applied to pavement and wet down with water to create a surface as slippery as a sheet of ice. The lack of traction is intended as an effective aid against riots and looting. In the next newsreel, Lady Bird Johnson, attends Williams College, in Williamstown, Massachusetts for an honorary degree. She is escorted by John E. Sawyer, President of Williams College, at Chapin Hall, while a group of anti-war protesters hold up signs directed toward her husband. Seventy-five student demostrators walk out of the auditorium as Lady Bird Johnson is given a Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters Degree. The rest of the crowd applauds for her. In the next newsreel, Prince Charles, future King of England, attends his first day as a freshman at Trinity College, Cambridge. He is greeted by Lord Butler, Master of Trinity College, as a large crowd of students and photographers surround them. Prince Charles walks beside his father as he enters a library then smiles for the camera outside of the university.
