Here’s 1970s b-roll of California Highway Patrol ("CHP") officers getting ready for work at their headquarters in Northern California. Most of the clip takes place in a parking lot where many CHP vehicles are parked. This is clip 1 of 2. 

We see officers, or at least one officer, doing the following: cleaning their car windows, putting gear or equipment in their CHP vehicles, having discussions before driving away in their squad cars, driving off on their motorbikes, smoking a tobacco pipe, filling the gas tank of their vehicles, and checking the trunk of their cars.
