In this silent black and white clip from the 1970s, two New York City Police Department officers speak to two African-American women at their apartments.
Clip begins with a black woman in mid-conversation with the two NYPD cops. She looks like she’s in her ‘50s, earnest, and not very happy — as if she wants the cops to get away from her apartment door.
The cops then knock on the door of another African-American woman. She is short, stocky, and somewhat talkative. At a certain point, one of the cops steps into the woman’s apartment to retrieve a garbage bag that is in her hands. The garbage bag appears to have several pockets of “stuff,” perhaps drugs, but that is unclear.
Soon, the cops leave the second woman’s apartment, walk down a hallway with the supposed bag of drugs, and toss the garbage bag down a garbage chute.
