In this short animated clip from the 1970s, the social-economic systems of capitalism, socialism, and communism are explained and compared to each other.
The clip also makes the claim that each social-economic system is a part of an inevitable evolution: Capitalism leads to socialism, and socialism leads to communism. Philosopher Karl Marx believes this "inevitable evolution" is exactly what happens to a society when it becomes industrialized.
It is made clear that the notions of the exploiter and the exploited, and the oppressor and the oppressed, are key to Marx's theory about industrialized societies.
