Here's a 1960s home movie showing a civic pride parade through an evergreen suburb in Dearborn, Michigan. This is the kind of parade where people are showing their respect and love for their community and environment.

Children ride bicycles.  Children ride on a float and wave.  One float is of a small house.  A red fire truck lumbers down the street.  Children carry streamers.  Three girls push a small float down the street with a sign that says, "If we could talk to the animals."  Three people walk down the street holding a large sign that says, "Our goal is to keep Dearborn Clean."  Another float has a sign that  reads, "Clean Up Team Litterbugs."
