The first exercise is how to your breathe underwater. The men are in two lines Holding the opposite side arms as the go under and hold there breathe. Inhale above water. Exhale under water. Using the buddy system they train how to float on water. Then floating on there backs. First exercise of actually swimming is the kick glide. Paddling with just there legs. Then the same thing again but on there backs.
