This clip contains b-roll relating to the increased school closures in California in 1979. A long table is stacked high with textbooks. Shots of an empty school yard are followed by empty lockers in an empty school corridor. The next shot is of a San Francisco Unified School District notice sent out to "All Terminated Teachers". Next, a close up of the sign for John Swett School and a wider shot of the school entrance under the sign. Another exterior of a closed school, the Commodore Stockton Elementary School and shots of abandoned play equipment and a mural outside the school conclude the clip.
