She continually tries to smash the bottle even with two hands with no luck. The crowd laughs. She tries harder and harder. LS of an army officer trying to do it for her. Also with no luck. Everyone starts laughing hard now. ELS of crowd. LS as Mrs. Truman tries one last time and somebody sneakily hits the bottle with a hammer under the plane.
