Using computer language, programmers create instructions for computers to follow, allowing computers to respond to a variety of inputs.

The speed of a computer, we are told, is very fast. What might take a human to do in one year, for instance, a computer can do in a mere 15 seconds. Computers process information or data at lightening speeds, which is a primary reason why they are so useful.
