Here’s a super 8 home movie showing the graduation ceremony of Jesuit High School, a private Catholic high school in Carmichael, California, during the 1970s. Carmichael is a suburb of Sacramento.

Begins with graduates seating themselves in chairs within an indoor basketball court. All grads are wearing caps and gowns. 

A speaker, who is a priest, speaks to the graduates from a podium on a nearby stage. Later a fellow graduate speaks from the same podium. 

Graduates line up to receive their diplomas. People in the audience watch the ceremony; some take photos. 

The camera gets a close up of the high school’s seal.

The clip ends with a long shot of the audience, looking serious and somewhat bored.
