Here’s early 1990s raw footage of the Mission District in San Francisco, focused mostly on pedestrians on 24th Street as well as on the traffic of South Van Ness Avenue.
Clip begins with a long shot of people walking on a sidewalk near a small grocery store. Avocados and Roma tomatoes are on display. Most of the people seen are Hispanic-looking.
Two young men walk past the camera and past a sign of the Fong Lam Restaurant, which is advertising a special for lunch and dinners for $2.89.
We then see an intersection on South Van Ness Avenue. There’s quite a bit of traffic. A yellow truck makes a right turn off of South Van Ness; the side of the truck reads, “RYDER,” which is a transportation company that, among other things, leases trucks for moving.
In the clip’s final scene, we see more people walking up and down 24th Street, though without seeing their faces.
