The Gemini 9, NASA's second human-space mission, is a success. The astronauts parachute land in the ocean safely. During their trip, a superficial component of the space craft had to be repaired. An astronaut successfully fixed the part while floating in space. The Gemini mission helped trial NASA's Apollo moon mission.
