Nazi generals sit at a table with Allied forces and negotiate the end of the war in Europe. General Walter Smith represents the Allies at the table. Jodl and Smith sign documents signalling Germany's complete surrender. Allied delegates arrive in Dwight Eisenhower's private headquarters with the pens used to sign the peace documents.
