Three backlit camshafts drip oil, dissolving into three gleaming metal shafts, then an abstract arrangement of various automotive engine parts. Opening drops sequence is repeated. Dissolve to still shot of oil can. Dissolve to American Oil service station sign rotating into view and superimposed titles reading “You expect more from American and you get it!” Superimposed title at bottom of screen appears reading “American Oil Company”, then fade.
