A PSA for the Opportunity Industrialization Center ("OIC"), sponsored by the Gulf Oil Corporation.

The footage shows a black man talking about his hardships growing up and working as an adult. His career turned around for the better under the guidance of OIC, which taught him a trade and helped him find better, more meaningful work.

Much of this PSA shows stills of working blacks and images that compliment the black man's life story.

The clip ends with the black man recommending that others seek out OIC and their assistance rather than "standing on a street corner," a kind of metaphor for not doing much with one's life.
