Commercial for Volkswagen Bug (Beetle). Cars drive behind a hearse in a funeral procession. Narration is in the form a wealthy man’s will who leaves nothing to his money hungry and wasteful family and friends, but all of his fortune to his Volkswagen driving nephew.A woman, the man’s widow, dressed in black and cries into a handkerchief in the back seat of a limousine. The deceased’s snobby sons ride in a fancy sedan wearing fancy suits and sunglasses and look at each other in anger. The dead man’s business partner follows in a nice car, sitting in the back seat with a cigar in his mouth and two wealthy attractive women at his sides. Woman wears fur coat and pearls. Finally, the man’s nephew Harold follows the funeral procession in a Volkswagen, dabbing his eyes with a tissue. Harold’s money savvy with regards to owning a Volkswagen has earned him the bulk of his uncle’s will, one hundred billion dollars. “A penny saved is a penny earned.”
