Poet Lawrence Ferlinghetti walks his dog around San Francisco. His dog jumps onto a kitchen window, where an Asian cook works next to cooked chickens (or ducks) hanging. The dog walks next to fruit crates, candy machines, and pees on a pole. It licks a puddle and a trash container is seen. It passes next to a San Francisco Chronicle vending machine and chases a police tricycle. Ferlinghetti reads a poem from a book in front of a brick wall. A chef wearing a hat and apron lifts pallets and shuts the door near him.
