Poet Lawrence Ferlinghetti grabs a piece of paper then places it inside a typewriter. VO consists of him reading a poem. He begins typing and puts a mask on his face. Ferlinghetti opens a door and walks outside onto his balcony. The outside of his house is seen as he walks down the stairs.
