Here’s a 1979 home movie from a European-looking family who is visiting the island of Kauai, Hawaii, and staying at a budget resort. 

Clip begins with a small sailboat, anchored about 50 yards from a shore.

An older white man lays on a beach with two white women. They are all resting on towels, taking in the sun and getting tanned. There are others sitting or lying on the beach. People nearby walk on the beach.

Coconut trees line the beach, which extends into the distance. The skies are partly sunny with a few clouds.

Two people snorkel about 20 feet from the shore. Both are faced down as they paddle screen left.

A pale woman in a yellow swimsuit stands up from sitting near the shore. She holds a mask and snorkel and a green & red bag or towel.

The camera man runs up to a couple who is sunbathing -- the same couple seen earlier -- and lets them know they are being filmed. The couple looks at the super 8 camera and then stand up and move toward the camera.

We see a long shot of the Pacific Ocean and, in the far distance, what appears to be another island or just another shore of Kauai.

A white mushroom is seen close up and surrounded by blades of grass. Looks like a crimini mushroom.

The camera focuses on the ocean that’s in the distance. People are walking on a pathway from the resort to the ocean. Palm trees, green grass, and plumeria are on both sides of the path.

A woman sits on her resort room's patio, sipping a cup of coffee. She notices that she's being filmed and looks uneasy.
