Teller speaks about the need for the United States to prepare for war and to seriously think about the possibility of nuclear war with Russia -- rather than avoiding this possibility as an unthinkable idea or scenario. 

Teller believes that avoiding thinking about the possibility of nuclear war is the coward's approach to the issue.
