Here’s a 1970s clip showing some of the strip clubs on Broadway Street in San Francisco’s North Beach neighborhood.

The clip begins with a sign that reads, "HOUSE OF JOY XXX RATED GIRLS GIRLS.” Another sign reads, “GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS LIVE ADULT Entertainment.”

A woman walks past the entrance to the "HOUSE OF JOY." The camera focuses on a padlock that’s on the front door of the "HOUSE OF JOY." Another sign reads, "Private Rooms, Private Shows.”

Yet another sign reads, “TUNNEL OF LOVE GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS.” A red canopy has the name “TUNNEL of LOVE” and is decorated with a bunch of stars. The club's door is latched closed with a padlock.

In the final scene, the camera zooms out from a lighted sign that reads, “ADULT MOVIES 25¢ MAGAZINES RUBBER GOODS.” Another sign says, “EROTIC BOOKS MAGAZINES ADULT STAG FILMS.” Pedestrians walk past these erotica stores, enjoying the views and sun.
