Here’s a 1980 clip showing kidnapping-victim Steven Stayner roller skating with two kids and, later, speaking to the press with his family and two officers of the Merced Police Department, a Sergeant Lenny and a Lieutenant Bailey.

Begins with Stayner roller skating with two kids down a sidewalk. Stayner is wearing the red baseball cap. One of the two kids is wearing a blue shirt with a Superman logo on the chest. There is a shot of the roller skates two of the kids are wearing.

The clip then cuts to an interview with the press. Stayner is holding his dog Queenie and there is a “WELCOME HOME STEVEN” sign taped to the side of the house. Stayner, who is holding his black dog Queenie, is standing with his family and two members of the Merced Police Department before a gaggle of cameramen and journalists.

A page from the Merced Sun-Star newspaper shows a photo of a young “Steven G. Stayner” and bears the caption, “Local Youngster Missing; Search Planned Today.”
