This clip is footage of some of the sights around the San Francisco Bay in 1939.

A boat passes under the Golden Gate Bridge. Sail boats surf their way across the water near boats passing Alcatraz Island. A shot of Coit Tower is followed by the camera’s pan of the Bay Bridge as well as the tram that crossed it. Outside the tram window, one can see downtown San Francisco and Treasure Island. There is a long shot of the Ferry Building and then another view of downtown, but from a hilltop park.
