1989
This clip from 1989 shows activity in the Port of Oakland and various shots of heroin.
A ship is docked at the Port of Oakland. Large crates are stacked on the ship. Two large cranes extend over the ship and are in the process of retrieving these large crates.
"China White" heroin is poured out of a large plastic bag onto a table. This mound of heroin is about as white as freshly-cleaned linen.
One bag of heroin is marked, in part, “evidence” and includes heroin's weight, which is 1,013.4 grams.
A silver instrument moves and cuts through the mound of heroin, spreading it haphazardly over a portion of the table.
The clip ends with a ship sitting in a harbor, likely the Port of Oakland.
