This clip is the very beginning of a home movie showing parts of Los Angeles, shot in 1956.

Begins with the title "It is lucky to live in America" and other introductory information. There's a shot of a Los Angeles County map with the population "5.8 million" listed on it. The next shot says “Los Angeles: We live here.”

After the opening credits, we finally see an image: a close-up of a pink rose.

A woman walks through the parking lot next to the "Carnation Milk" building, which was on 5055 Wilshire Boulevard.

The door of an office building lists the names of medical doctors.

Wide shot of Griffith Observatory and surrounding area, which is near the Hollywood sign.

The clip ends with a series of wide shots of Los Angeles, including what appears to be downtown LA. City Hall appears to be visible in the distance.
