Here's a a clip from 1969 covering the riots on the campus of San Francisco State College. Focuses on skirmishes between police and rioters as well as a press conference held by the school's president, Samuel Ichiye Hayakawa.

LS and MS of people on strike at the San Francisco State college campus, pushed very close together by riot police. Quick shots of people in the riot yelling, pointing, and causing chaos. MS of a young man climbing up a flag pole to wave an American flag as others are holding him up in a group effort. They tape the flag onto the pole. Shot of a police officer in riot gear with flag in background.

MCU of Samuel Ichiye Hayakawa, president of S.F. State, giving a statement concerning the rally with injured hands. He is asked questions by journalists concerning the arrest of Dr. Hare. Hayakawa then shows the weapons which were used against the police and other students. They look like pool balls filled with sand. He then shows them a large piece of wood which was thrown at the library’s steps. He says that there were only scattered incidents of violence that day. Shot of journalists taking notes. He is asked about mass arrests.
