Clip contains footage that shows and tells about a style of jazz called Bebop. The opening shot of the clip is wide enough to tightly frame the full band of musicians. On the far left is a piano player, mostly silhouetted, behind and just to his right is a trumpet player, the only white member of the band which is otherwise black men, and to his right is a saxophone player followed next by a drummer and lastly by a guy on double bass. After this opening shot there is a series of CU of the individual musicians and their instruments as they play them. The pace and fluidity of the editing and camera work mildly matches the freeform style of the jazz music. The music stops as the saxophonist announces “hold it guys”, a CU shot follows him as he instructs the other band members preparing for a freestyle section. Following this the footage returns to a variety of CU shots of the instruments and their players.
