Footage shows different parts of San Francisco’s Chinatown in the mid to late ‘60s during the day and at night.

Many of the shots are artful close-ups or medium shots of very specific things like: Shadows of pedestrians, busy-looking windows of Chinatown shops, a hanging origami, a hanging toy crane, faces of innocent-looking Asian dolls, a smiling golden Buddha, a wood-carved head of what appears to be Confucius, neon signs, a woman’s drink, and the faces of Asian women dancing for an audience at a nightclub or cabaret.
